Hello, and a huge warm welcome to my blog! My name’s Charlotte Jayne Jackson and I’m currently based in Shropshire, England. The main focus of my blog is fashion, food and adventures so if that sounds great to you stick around, take a look, and enjoy! ~ x
You may have read my recent post from a few days ago where I shared some photos of a pizza and cocktails night that I had with some friends? Well on that same evening I ended up taking some cute Polaroids!
I got an Instax Wide 300 camera for Christmas this year and had only taken a few photos with it so far, so I thought I would take it out for a spin the other night 🙂
Some of them came out a little too white as the lighting wasn’t too great…but they are still so fun in my opinion! I thought you guys might want to see them so I thought I’d put them up on here ~
Georgia had to use her toe as my camera doesn’t have a timer (oops!) xOlive catching at its finest 🙂
Happy New year and I hope, if you are reading this, you are well!! 🙂
On the 18th of January I celebrated my 24th birthday with my family in England’s THIRD national lockdown…
Hotel Chocolate is ridiculously tasty…notice some are already missing!
I had planned to have a party last year but decided against it because of my Master’s degree being very demanding at the time and thought I would have one this year instead 😂. That obviously did NOT go as planned and so a little family celebration it had to be!
Brought my Polaroid out for the occasion too ~
It was lovely in all honesty. We had a buffet, cake, cards, gifts, and a close friend even sent me a little surprise balloon.
Victoria Sponge is one of the only cakes I like! Not a massive fan of cake but I love them for their novelty haha 🙂
I hope eventually I’ll be able to celebrate properly with friends, but I’m not holding my breath haha.
I hope 24 ends up being an exciting year. It’s hard having to stay in every day, never really achieving anything or moving forward. I want to turn 25 having done something I’m proud of.
Today I finally got around to wrapping my Christmas presents for my family and friends!
I’m so glad it’s finally Christmas time as this year has been so utterly crap that it’s nice to finally have something exciting and joyful happening…
I still haven’t quite finished my Christmas shopping in all honesty as I still have a few little things for pick up for one or two people but it’s nearly DONE.
I really enjoy buying gifts for people. I love seeing their reactions and opening my laptop and spending hours trying to find the perfect thing, it’s…therapeutic?
I’m also hoping to put up our Christmas decorations tomorrow as well, so then it will feel really festive in the house haha 🙂 ~
I hope everyone is safe and well but also feeling festive if you are someone who celebrates Christmas.
Hello and I hope you are having a wonderful December first! I haven’t posted much on here lately as England went into a second lockdown at the start of November and I didn’t want to post something just for the sake of posting, ya know?
Happily, that lockdown finishes TOMORROW (Dec 2nd) so I want to post a lot of Christmassy content this month (well at least I intend to…we’ll see haha).
BUT before I do that I want to write about last March when the literal last thing I did before the Rona took over was visit a sky bar in Birmingham!!
Food area of Selfridges
It was my friends idea as she’s lived in Birmingham for a couple years now and really recommend it for a fun evening…
Before we went we had a day shopping and eventually got tapas at a Spanish restaurant, which was incredibly divine. Of course we also had some cocktails 🍸
We headed up to the bar around 10:30pm and sat outside with a view of the city ~ inside they had a piano and places to dine and it was honestly just a really lovely place to go.
It’s weird that it’s March again in 3 months…this year has gone so fast because none of us have done anything!!! I hope 2021 brings back some normality and adventures.
Hello! I hope you’re having a great week and are excited about the current Halloween season (I certainly am like always!).
There is something really epic about Halloween for me as every year I get crazy excited to celebrate it…
Admittedly, I don’t look like someone that enjoys gothic horror…but I promise you I do haha
I think it’s because I’m in love with anything and everything gothic, eerie, dark and spooky. Movies like ‘Van Helsing (2004)’ and ‘Sleepy Hollow’ are some of my favourite films to watch and this time of year I have an excuse to watch them!!
I decided to calve some pumpkins this year (the small one turned out cuter than the other haha).
It’s super messy and time consuming but honestly a huge laugh and a lot of fun!
I’ve noticed a lot of people in the UK doing it this year which I’m happy about as the UK isn’t that big on Halloween usually!
My boyfriend came round a few days ago and we also baked some Halloween pumpkin biscuits together which was a lot of fun ~ he also wants to calve a pumpkin so I’ve bought two more for us to do together in the week (including a stencil kit this time as that orange pumpkin turned out to be a massive failure)…
My bf wasn’t happy I put sprinkles on ‘his’ biscuit …
