Birthday Night Away

Uncategorized

Good evening everyone…

…and happy (day after) Valentine’s Day <3. This year was the first time I ever properly celebrated Valentine’s Day with my boo. The past two Valentine’s have been during COVID and it’s just been difficult to plan anything special. It’s also just after Christmas, New Year, both me and Harrison’s birthday’s (both January bebe’s), and our anniversary…so by the time it comes around we can never be bothered to do anything. BUT, this year we DID! H treated me a really nice dinner at a restaurant near to where we live where they have *insanely* good food. We ordered sooo much food and I even got some of my favourite chocolates :). Kinda makes me want to celebrate it every year now…haha.

I never took any photos last night but I completely forgot that I saved a draft blog post from my birthday a few weeks ago!

Did you really go to a spa if you didn’t wear a white robe?

H organised for us to go to a nice spa hotel not too far from my house for an evening with a nice meal, drinks, and a lovely room back in January. I’ve driven past the hotel so many times in my life yet it was the first time I had ever set foot in there!

Those pillows were as squishy and as soft as they look

The room was super nice with really high ceilings and a massive comfy bed <3.

We had dinner in the evening and a bottle of wine. The food was delicious and it was super fun to dress up a little bit nicer for a change. I actually have a lot of photo’s from dinner… but I look a bit tipsy in nearly every one so I think it’s best they remain off the internet haha!

I was so Hungary I forgot to take a snap of my main! oops. (How dreamy does that chocolate look?!)

We ended the night watching movies and YouTube in bed snuggled up in our awesome bed. In the morning we order breakfast to our room before heading back home.

I was sooo great getting to do something for my 25th birthday after missing my last birthday to COVID. I love celebrating birthday’s as it think it’s important to commemorate every year of life that’s given to you. I want to look back and remember all the fun things I did each year, with the people that I care about the most 🙂

All for now,

Dinner in a Dome

Uncategorized

Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone – if you are someone who celebrates Christmas I hope you are excited for the upcoming festivities!

One of my favourite things about Christmas is actually the build up to Christmas. I love doing all the typical Christmas activities, seeing all the pretty decorations lighting up peoples houses, and getting excited for some time off ~

One of the Christmassy activities I did recently was to have Christmas lunch in little dome ~ with Covid cases rising with the new variant here in the UK, having dinner out in your own personal dome is perfect 🤍

How pretty is this coffee art?

We got all dressed up and ate some lovely food, and drank lots of Prosecco.

The dome was decorated with fairy lights and a little Christmas tree and even came with heating (it’s cold in England always) and waiter service!

I had a baked Camembert to start followed by a butternut squash tagliatelle (mega yum) ~

As we ate it started to get dark and the dome looked even prettier at night ❤️.

*This was at Weston Park in Staffordshire for anyone wondering*

The only downside to the night was that I broke one of my stilettos…a great shame but also an excellent excuse to buy new ones hehe…

I love how cute it is
The best I could do with minimal lighting …

This is a great example, I think, of doing something fun and festive in a safe way that even feels quite ‘normal’. I would for sure do it again and would recommend it to anyone who asked 🙂

I think with Covid here to stay for the foreseeable future, it’s good to start thinking of new ways of getting out and experiencing life. We don’t want to endanger ourselves or others, but we also can’t lock ourselves up forever.

Perfect Eggs for Breakfast

Food

Hiya everybody,

I hope you are all keeping well ❤

I wanted to share with you the best poached eggs on toast I think I have ever done! I mean…look at them 😍!!

I made these beauties for a friend the other morning and oh my God they turned out great!? I served them with smashed avocado (with lemon juice, salt and pepper) on fresh olive bread toast with a little vegan butter ~ so GOOD! It’s so basic but something I love to eat and it’s and absolute go-to for me at the moment! 🙂

What’s your go-to fav breakfast been recently?

Lots of love,

Eating Our Way Through Cyprus

Food, Travel

//Good afternoon everyone,

This is the final post from my trip to Cyprus a few weeks ago… I should have posted this sooner but I feel so busy at the moment. (Where has the time gone?!)

Anyways~ I think that we can all agree that one of the best things about going on holiday is trying new foods and just eating LOADS and loads. Well…it’s one of my fav things to do anyway 😉

Pina Colada for me EVEY time (…the cherry matches my nails…)

Well, that’s what we did while in Cyprus! We ate out pretty much everyday and had fresh salads, bread, cheese, pastas, fruits and even some FAB cocktails.

Our favourite bar to eat at was called ‘Restomar’ because it was right on the harbour, covered in fairy lights and served some of the freshest food and cocktails ever!

This was one of our starters ~ it’s a Russian dish but the name escapes me.

Funnily enough, I know I just said how great the restaurant was but this ended up being our least favourite thing we tried the whole time we were there. It’s sourdough rye bread with tomato, and it’s not necessary a bad dish, it just wasn’t suited to our palates at all…but everything else was amazing haha (looks pretty in the photo though!)

Also, bread to share is always a must ❤

Fours dips came with the bread and these included beetroot caviar and hummus but I genuinely can’t remember the others (my fault for writing this blog post so late…oops).

I also had a strawberry daiquiri one night and WOW, it was lush 😍.

One of the main meals we had at Restomar was a mushroom risotto and a mushroom carbonara ~

Both were very tasty. My carbonara initially came with pancetta cubes but because I’m vegetarian I asked for it without, and they did this for me no problem! I liked that because some restaurants will not let you do that I’ve found, but they were super nice about it and it was so delicious!

I don’t have photos of our other meals, but we also tried a steak ( well Harrison did not me), vegan sushi (very yum), and Nachos. Harrison actually said the steak was one of the best cooked steaks he’s ever had 🙂

I’m a big fan of this place, and I’m a big fan of Cyprus. I hope I get to come back soon. //

Thanks for reading,

Exploring Cyprus

Travel

Hello lovelies,

How is everyone?? ❤ I currently have a stinking cold and the only thing I want to do is lie on the sofa and sleep. But alas… I have work to do, money to earn, and photos from Cyprus to share with you 🙂

I’ve been back a week now (can’t believe how quickly that’s gone) and I’m already ready to go someplace new and exciting…Does anyone else just get the urge to keep on travelling whenever they go somewhere new? I always do…

Anyways ~ we stayed in this gorgeous four bedroom villa named ‘Villa Halima Alexandros’ with our own pool (it was ice cold sadly!) and private balcony. We ate lunch outside by the pool most days and I loved just being around the villa, relaxing in a bikini, eating feta salads!

We were also only a 2 min walk from the beach, so me and Harrison would walk into town along the beach nearly everyday ❤

This was my go-to drink like everyday haha ~ couldn’t get enough!

…On the second day of our trip we went out on a boat trip to some lovely clear blue waters ~

The water was surprisingly…warm? Much warmer than the pool anyway! I couldn’t wait to swim in the ocean, it’s felt like forever since I had been in the ocean since Covid…

So blue

Boat time means lots of jumping 🙂 (my favourite thing!)

This cutie also pretty much moved in with us for the week. We’re quite sure she was feral so gave her a lot of food and attention. She was so friendly and loved keeping us company x

Even went for a little hike in the woods and up the hills ~

This lunch was incredible 😍. Homemade tomato pasta and garlic bread with lots of salads and sides ~ I could eat this forever…I was so full after this I don’t think I even ate again for the rest of the day haha.

I love Cyprus ❤

Love,

~ Charlotte x
