Hello, and a huge warm welcome to my blog! My name’s Charlotte Jayne Jackson and I’m currently based in Shropshire, England. The main focus of my blog is fashion, food and adventures so if that sounds great to you stick around, take a look, and enjoy! ~ x
…There’s been a heatwave in England for a few days now and it’s been so lovely having wonderful weather for a change! Although air-conditioning is a foreign concept to British people so the 30 degree heat has been a little bit of a struggle at times haha 🙂
Since the weather has been so brilliant me and my boyfriend decided to go for a little picnic and a walk around Attingham Park (near Shrewsbury) so we could relax in the shade and enjoy the weather!
We packed sandwiches and lots of sun cream and headed out for the day.
Sadly I did end up getting blisters on the backs of my feet from the walk we went on 😦 but, honestly, I don’t care because the weather was so worth it!!
The park is actually a deer park so I definitely recommend a visit if you ever find yourself in Shropshire ❤
We ate a lot of good picnic food and lay watching the clouds – a perfect day 🙂
I hope wherever you are reading this from that you have great weather too and are making the most of the summer x
On Saturday I visited a couple of friends and we had a fabulous evening of making our own cocktails and pizza!
We all bought our own mixers and cocktail ingredients and ended up with our own versions of various cocktails such as a daiquiri and a pornstar martini.
Honestly, quite successful over all haha! We had a few sad attempts because we were estimating the amounts of alcohol but we ended up with some delicious drinks ~ we even garnished the glasses with little bits of melon and strawberry for fun ❤
We also made our own pizza in the pizza oven my friend owns and OMG they were insanely tasty. Like REALLY good. I made mine with goats cheese, mozzarella, olives and mushrooms and it may not have looked the prettiest but it certainly tasted amazing (trust me!).
And as if pizza isn’t filling enough…we also tucked in to a homemade cookie and caramel ice cream bake :D! We never managed to finish the entire thing though, but we certainly tried ~
Hope all your days are going well and you are all eating the most delicious food.
Hello and I hope you are having a wonderful December first! I haven’t posted much on here lately as England went into a second lockdown at the start of November and I didn’t want to post something just for the sake of posting, ya know?
Happily, that lockdown finishes TOMORROW (Dec 2nd) so I want to post a lot of Christmassy content this month (well at least I intend to…we’ll see haha).
BUT before I do that I want to write about last March when the literal last thing I did before the Rona took over was visit a sky bar in Birmingham!!
It was my friends idea as she’s lived in Birmingham for a couple years now and really recommend it for a fun evening…
Before we went we had a day shopping and eventually got tapas at a Spanish restaurant, which was incredibly divine. Of course we also had some cocktails 🍸
We headed up to the bar around 10:30pm and sat outside with a view of the city ~ inside they had a piano and places to dine and it was honestly just a really lovely place to go.
It’s weird that it’s March again in 3 months…this year has gone so fast because none of us have done anything!!! I hope 2021 brings back some normality and adventures.
Back in May of 2019 I visited a beautiful restaurant in Kings Cross, London while visiting a friend who was living in the city at the time. The restaurant was named the ‘German Gymnasium’ and sold German inspired dishes. Even though it was more than a year ago, it was such a great experience that I want to post about it on here so that I can remember it in the future…
The food was incredible and we were both extremely full on our way out of the restaurant to make our theatre reservation for ‘The Comedy About a Bank Robbery’.
As me and my friend are both vegetarian, we had the same starter and main (as we usually end up doing!). We both had the soup to start followed by the ‘Schupfnudeln and Seasonal Young Vegetables’.
The restaurant was very elegant and pretty with a grand piano and seating over two levels. The perfect spot for a working/ business lunch!
