I want to write a short post about Montenegro as I went there last summer and LOVED IT!

It’s about a 3 hour plane ride from the UK and is not a typical holiday destination here in the UK. I stayed in Kotor and it is very quiet and friendly and extremely hot if you go in August I found out haha (expect 40 degrees Celsius + this time of year).

The vibe (and the food for that matter) is very Italian (think Lake Como) and the country just boosts elegance. Expect white yachts in fancy harbours and fine wine on balconies overlooking the bay.

…This country was certainly perfect for the setting of Casino Royal!

I spent a lot of my time fussing the thousands of local cats that hang around the bay, while also dining in restaurants on the bay where little houses are nestled into the bayside.

Montenegro is worth a visit for the scenery alone and I would highly recommend a visit here. It’s the perfect romantic get-away or anniversary holiday!
