Benefit Magnetic Mascara: First Impressions

Beauty

Heya lovelies, how are you doing? I’m feeling great ~

I went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester on Saturday to do a lil’ shopping (didn’t buy as much as I thought I would though…?) 🙂

I hardly bought any clothes (which is odd for me) and apart from one top in Zara I didn’t see much I fancied!! What I DID buy though was a little bit of make-up…

I went into Selfridges to get a Benefit bronzer as my friends got me the mini one for my 23rd birthday and it’s lasted until now (year and a half!). So I bought the larger version of that and, while I did, one of the shop assistants made me aware of a new Benefit mascara that gives great length, doesn’t clump, and really fans out your lashes!

How it works is that the formula is magnetic (apparently) and so all the mascara binds together to create great length (not sponsored haha) ❤

I was super intrigued by this concept and so I got one! And honestly guys, it’s actually amazing. I’ve never owned a mascara that wasn’t drug store bought and I don’t know why because this Benefit one is incredible!!

These pics don’t do it justice at all. I’m not one for eyelash extensions or glue on eyelashes as I find them irritating and weird on me (I’ve got big eyes so they make me look strange haha) but what I do always look for is a good mascara with great length and volume ~ this one is a perfect find for me x

National Botanic Garden of Wales

Travel

Hello everyone and welcome to June! x

The past week as been quite lovely for me as I’ve had a week off from work to visit South-West Wales with my family and boyfriend.

The weather was surprisingly gorgeous and we had a lot of great days exploring in the sun ❤

One Thursday of last week we visited the ‘National Botanic Garden of Wales’ for the day! It’s was a fun day but sadly it actually ended up raining for the majority of the time we were there… (typical!) but it was still a great day out!

Below I have added some photos I took of the day including the tropical house and many many beautiful (and weird) flowers 🌸

Tropical House 🌴
This place was very pretty

This huge dome contained lots of plants and flowers from across the world! I’ve taken photos of a few of my favs which you can see below 😀

Humidity and hair don’t mix…
Example of ‘weird’
Like I said, LOTS of RAIN hehe

The pics below are of the very cute Japanese garden ~

So cute!!!

Hope you are having a great summer and I’ll be back on here soon lovelies ❤

Peace and love,

Polaroids

Uncategorized

Hey, hi and hello friends ❤

You may have read my recent post from a few days ago where I shared some photos of a pizza and cocktails night that I had with some friends? Well on that same evening I ended up taking some cute Polaroids!

I got an Instax Wide 300 camera for Christmas this year and had only taken a few photos with it so far, so I thought I would take it out for a spin the other night 🙂

Some of them came out a little too white as the lighting wasn’t too great…but they are still so fun in my opinion! I thought you guys might want to see them so I thought I’d put them up on here ~

Georgia had to use her toe as my camera doesn’t have a timer (oops!) x
Olive catching at its finest 🙂

Hope you like!

Homemade Cocktails and Pizza

Food

Hello everybody, it’s been a hot minute!

On Saturday I visited a couple of friends and we had a fabulous evening of making our own cocktails and pizza!

We all bought our own mixers and cocktail ingredients and ended up with our own versions of various cocktails such as a daiquiri and a pornstar martini.

Honestly, quite successful over all haha! We had a few sad attempts because we were estimating the amounts of alcohol but we ended up with some delicious drinks ~ we even garnished the glasses with little bits of melon and strawberry for fun ❤

We also made our own pizza in the pizza oven my friend owns and OMG they were insanely tasty. Like REALLY good. I made mine with goats cheese, mozzarella, olives and mushrooms and it may not have looked the prettiest but it certainly tasted amazing (trust me!).

I was so excited to eat I had already taken a slice before I remembered to take a photo! x

And as if pizza isn’t filling enough…we also tucked in to a homemade cookie and caramel ice cream bake :D! We never managed to finish the entire thing though, but we certainly tried ~

I mean come ON! *-*
Three strawberry daiquiris to wash down that beauty of a dessert

Hope all your days are going well and you are all eating the most delicious food.

Bosh – Vegan Lemon Fizzle Cupcakes

Food

Good morning guys, I hope you are having the most wonderful day/ week/ month 🙂

Over the weekend my boyfriend and I ended up making the most (and I mean MOST) delicious lemon fizzle cupcakes 🧁! Oh…and did I mention they were *vegan*?

“Zesty, Fizzy, Amazing” is bang on the mark

My boyfriend bought a BOSH cupcake mix for me to try as he knows I love plant based food <3. As it was a ready mix it was super easy to do and took barely any time at all…

All we had to do was place the cake mixture in a mixing bowl and then add 110mil of water, grate lemon zest into the mix, and add a bit of oil.

Once this was done, we mixed until smooth and then placed the mix into cupcake holders on a baking tray! We let them bake for 25 mins and then added a lemon drizzle while they were still cool.

Once cool we added more drizzle and popping candy (all included in the box)!

The drizzle required only some lemon juice added to the pre-made icing and it was good to go 🙂

The drizzle ran a little but never mind haha

The popping candy was truly a beautiful finish for the cakes – it just gave them a little something extra and literally made them POP haha.

AND if anyone is curious… we ate all six cakes in the same night…

If you fancy giving these wonderful cakes a try, all you will need is:

– One lemon

– Vegetable based oil

– 110 mil water

– BOSH lemon fizzle cupcake mix

Hope you enjoyed this little cupcake post ~

See you soon!
