Sunday Brunch at The Botanist

Food

Good morning ~

I went out for the most delicious brunch on Sunday and had to share some pictures with you!!

Me and two friends drove to a town called Chester (UK) and had brunch at 11:30 in restaurant we’d never tried before called ‘The Botanist’.

Between 10am and 12pm you can order brunch where you get a menu with 5 sections and you pick a small meal from every section 🙂

You get a little juice shot with it too! x

It’s a really fun concept and the food is honestly incredible! (Vegetarian options)

I 100% recommend the Nutella French toast 🙂

A smoothie for me lol

The brunch also comes with the option to order bottomless drinks for 90 mins ~

I couldn’t get this because I was driving but my friends defiantly made the most of this and ordered many glasses of spritz haha

After brunch we did a little shopping and bought a little too much (oops) before heading home.

It’s was actually 30 degrees in England on Sunday and has been for a few days now as we are having a little heatwave…

…So walking around the town got a little hot after a while – my car was scorching hot when we got back to it!

That’s all for now x

Much love,

Something Sweet

Food

On Sunday I visited a dessert restaurant in Shrewsbury for lunch. This was my first ever time at a dessert restaurant and I loved it! We ordered french toast and a strawberry and chocolate crepe and shared it between the two of us. It was so delicious, with the crepe being my wining favourite…

The restaurant was called ‘Sweet’ and it had a very colourful and vibrant charm to it. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you ever come to Shrewsbury as the food is delightful and the place just makes you feel happy.

I think it’s important at this time, during a pandemic, to make the most of eating out so that businesses can continue to do well and thrive. It must be a very worrying time for restaurant owners not knowing if they may be forced to close at any time.

You just have to remember to try and stay safe while you visit!

Visiting cafes and restaurants is something I have always loved to do so I missed it a lot during lockdown this summer… hopefully another lockdown won’t happen again any time soon.
