London Days

Travel

Hey Guys ❤

I was meaning to post this final blog post about my trip to London recently but completely forgot because I’ve been crazy busy moving to a new apartment (more on that though in the next blog post).

BUT I’m here now and would love to share some final London moments…

One of the things I love to do when in London is to visit China Town. I go nearly every time I’m in London but weirdly I’d never actually eaten there until this trip! If you’ve ever been to China Town you’ll know how insanely good the smells are when you are walking though and the food always looks incredible.

Soooo, me and the girls went to a hot pot restaurant there and Oh My Days was it tasty! We had dim sum, fried rice, fried spicy tofu, noodles, egg soup, and more. Super YUM. I was so full after that I wanted to just lie down and go to bed…

The restaurant was super busy though and we did have to queue for a while to get a table. A good tip is booking ahead if you can!

We also came across this cute little cafe. Sadly we ended up not actually having coffee here because the wait time was too long and we needed to catch a train, BUT I did get some cute pics anyways ❤

One of my new fav things to do in London is to get the Uber Boat! It’s really not that expensive and you get to see all the iconic sites on London while sitting down and relaxing 🙂 ~ There is also a snack/coffee bar on board for longer trips. You just tap your card when you get on and then again when you get off just like you would on the Tube, so it’s super easy!

Saw this beautiful building on our way to take pics at Tower Bridge :).

We found the perfect photo spot for Tower Bridge where you don’t get any people in the background! We had to queue for a few minutes to get some snaps but it was totally worth it ~

I took the below photo at Battersea Power Station. I love the new shopping mall there, it’s so contemporary and unlike any other shopping mall I’ve ever been to. As you’ll know from my most recent post, they also have a great cocktail bar there too ;).

All for now,

Summer in Yellow

Outfits

Hiya everyone!

I wanted to come on here and post about this INSANELY gorgeous yellow beach set I got from NA-KD.com this summer 💛

OBSESSED – also, can we talk about how blonde my hair is here?!

I mean…come ON. SO NICE!! Yellow’s genuinely been one of my favourite colours for years but I never really wear it because I’m so pale skinned naturally, and it washes me out! This summer (with the help of some fake tan haha) I decided that I was going to dress in more brighter colours and when I saw this outfit I had to grab it.

…And I think it looks great 😉

Love the palm tree back drop ❤

The view from this balcony was also perfect for some photos and I loved the palm trees in the back ground on the golf course. I took these photo’s while in Spain a few weeks ago and the weather was perfect for laying around the pool in a beachy outfit like this.

I feel like the only thing missing from these photos is a lemonade haha 🙂

Venice

Travel

Good morning everyone ~

If you’re in the UK I hope you are enjoying some cooler weather after the record breaking high temperatures last week. Not great when you don’t have air conditioning…!

On a better note, the week before last I spent 5 days in Venice with my friend Tamsin and we did so much and took a lot of photos. So, I thought I’d share some of my favourites with you here~

Enjoy x

Breakfast at Florian Cafe

On the first day we had breakfast at the worlds first known cafe – Florian Cafe. I had orange juice with a roast vegetable croissant 🥐 . They had a live classical band playing well known tunes while we ate 🙂

Dinner on the balcony

When we arrived from the airport (after a day of cancelled flights 🥲) we were too tired to eat out so made some tomato pasta with Parmesan cheese and sat on our private balcony at our apartment, with a bottle of Merlot, in the warm air (soo good).

Doge’s Palace

We explored Doge’s Palace – once the centre of Venetian power

Had to go on a gondola ride (how can you not when staying in Venice?!)

Where we were staying was very close to Venice’s central hub, St. Marks Square. The streets were jam packed with designer shops, I couldn’t believe how many there were! I’ve never been anywhere where there were so many designer stores in one place (Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior etc). No wonder the rich and famous come to Venice…

Sweet shop – how great do those strawberries look??

Nutella Tiramisu

This was the nicest tiramisu I’ve ever tasted <3. It was a Nutella tiramisu and I got it from the birth place of tiramisu! How cool?!

Lido Island

This was taken at the Peggy Guggenheim Exhibition. It had the biggest collection of world famous art I’d ever seen in real life – including Jackson Pollock.

Evening ❤

Pizza, Gnocchi and Wine

One night we couldn’t finish our wine at dinner so decided to take it back to our apartment…one man thought it was very funny we did this and laughed at us very loudly as we left the restaurant…haha!

I loved Venice, and can’t wait to see even more of Italy in the future. I really want to go to Lake Como, Milan and the Amalfi Coast ❤

Manchester

Travel

//Happy 1st of May everyone – I hope you’re all doing great 🙂

This weekend I celebrated my graduation for my Master of Arts degree (technically finished in 2020 but…Covid!) and to celebrate my and my boyfriend went up to Manchester City Centre and stayed in Manchesters most desirable hotel, The Midland.

Superior King Room

I came up on the train and got off at Oxford Road Station, which was only a 7min walk to the hotel. I grabbed a latte in Pret while I waited for my room to be prepared and just chilled out for half and hour enjoying watching the people go past the cafe window.

Loved this robe – kinda wanted to keep it

We stayed in a Superior King Room which came with extra space and complimentary bath robes and slippers! They also bought over a bottle of Prosecco to the room for me and my boyfriend to share and extra bath robes in case we needed them. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for me.

Yes, we did drink it all (plus other drinks)…

I’d also booked me and Harrison into a French Restaurant called ‘The Cote’ at 8:30pm, so once we’d settled into the room we set off to find it and enjoyed a nice walk through the city centre. It was a beautiful warm evening and the sun was setting. I enjoyed watching everyone heading out for the evening (Friday night) and seeing all the cool restaurants – there were endless ones to chose from…

Once we got to the restaurant, we both ordered French onion soup to start with a bottle of rose wine. I then ordered a mozzarella and caramelised onion tart and H ordered the pork belly with truffle chips to share. I couldn’t taste the pork because I’m veggie but H assured me it was insanely good! My favourite thing by far was the soup though – honestly it was out of this world!

Freshly made cocktails ❤

After dinner we decided to get drinks at the bar at our hotel as it was such a stunning bar and lobby it would have been a crime not to haha.

I genuinely think it’s the nicest hotel lobby I’ve ever stayed in anywhere – from the gorgeous pillars to the tree covered in lights growing in the bar, it was just stunning. It even smelled like perfume when you walked in! We ordered a daiquiri and a gin and tonic before heading back to our room for the night ❤

Couldn’t help it 😉

The next day we checked out at 11am and headed into the city for more food and some shopping before heading home. The weather was unusually sunny and warm and we had the best day exploring.

I had such a fantastic weekend I wish I could stay here every time I come to Manchester – I love love LOVE IT!//

Best wishes,

Hello 2022

Uncategorized

Happy New Year everyone!!!

//Welcome to 2022 ~ I can’t wait to see what this year brings and for all of you to come along and experience my adventures with me ❤

I have a lot of things planned for 2022 and I am determined to make this year better than the past few (Covid!) have been! Sadly, the year hasn’t gotten off to the best start with me finding out today that I’m Covid-positive for the 1st time ever…And get this, it’s my boyfriends birthday today! Sooo, all our plans have gone out the window – which is a shame as we haven’t spent a birthday together since we’ve know each other, because of the pandemic. BUT, set backs aside, I’m POSITIVE that this year will be fab ✨

Some of my goals for this year are maybe a stretch, but I think that even if you don’t achieve what you set out too, as long as you are heading in the right direction, you have made progress :). That’s my main goal for this year – to make progress. Progress towards the life I want to live. For instance this year I would love to:

– Grow my blog and create a bigger community (and maybe potentially make a YouTube channel? We’ll see…)

– Save for a new car!

– Get an apartment and move out 🙂

– Move from my temporary job into a permanent role

– Travel more (this is an important one to me as I LOVE to travel and have barely been able to the last couple of years 😦 – I have my heart set on NYC…hehe)

All these things being said – that does not mean 2021 didn’t have it’s highlights! I managed to get my first graduate job since leaving university which was SUCH a huge achievement for me this year. I traveled to Cyprus with my boyfriend for our first official holiday since Covid began and finally got some sun. I raised £130 for the mental heath foundation, explored Scotland and Wales, met some amazing new people and got my very own office!

I’m also turning 25 on the 18th of this month (I’m hoping I’m Covid free by then fingers crossed 🤞🏻) and it’s so strange to now be in my mid-twenties. For some reason this age seems to mark the start of something new compared to other birthdays I’ve had…I think it’s because my life will totally change from this point onward with new jobs and experiences and opportunities…Super excited for this birthday.//

Peace and love,

~Charlotte x
